Carneon 20 is safe, high-quality formulation for effective carnitine supplementation in monogastric diets. L-carnitine is a vitamin-like substance that occurs naturally in raw materials of both vegetable and animal original metabolism L-carnitine acts as crucial co-factor for activated fatty acids. Amongst other things L-carnitine enables the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria to generate energy and temporarily store acetyl remains. This so-called buffer function is of significance in cases of extreme muscular activity, ketotic metabolic states and during periods of hunger.
Increased requirements of L-carnitine occur in animals during reproduction in young animals during periods of high growth and when the liver metabolism is overloaded.
